3000 years ago,at Mahabharat age, a province was ruled by king Vishal and was knowns as VISALI.
At present, known as VAISHALI.
Vaishali, a district in bihar, famous place for tourism, specially for buddhist and jains.
Names which strike on mind on hearing word VAISHALI are of Ashoka the great, Lord Mahavira,
Lord Buddha, Aamrapali, River Ganga, Gaj-Graah mythology,Vaishali Mahotashava.
King Ashoka, ruled here and Vaishali was his center for trade. One can find the Ashoka Stupa still in good condition out here.
Lord Buddha, was the frequent visitor of vaishali.He loved to visit vaishali.At Kolhua, close by, Lord Buddha preached
his last sermon. Many
Lord Mahaveer, founder of Jainism, was born on this holy place(Kundgram,Vaishali).
Amprapali, was known as VAISHALI KI NAGARVADHU. She was a great follower of Lord Buddha.She did a lot for the peace and
prosperity of Vaishali.
River Ganga also knowns as Narayani and Gandak out here.
Hajipur, which falls under Vaishali district, is situated on the bank of river Ganga.
River Ganga separates Sonepur, under Saran District, and Hajipur.
World`s biggest cattle fare take place on every full moon in the month of kartik(In between October-Novemner).
At Ramayana age, Lord Ram killed Tarakasur(near Buxar, Bihar) and was in way to back to Ayodhya.
The place where he took rest on the bank of ganga, is famous since, as RAMCHAURA. At present,Which falls
under Hajipur, Vaishali distict.
